It's the People Show!

'…there is the sense of a continual life of possibility and intrigue.' Says People Show founding member Mark Long, when chatting about the secret of longevity. Since the theatre companies inaugural performances back in '66 it's enjoyed a great creative journey to the applause of critics, peers and audiences alike. This week they present their two latest productions - both touching on highly topical subjects: gaming, and media induced fear. In our interview with the company we talk changes, new generations, and the misuse of the term 'experimental' - and of course their latest shows. Their productions People Show 124: Fallout and People Show 127: Hands Off are presented at Artsadmin, Toynbee Studios on 27 - 29 Nov.

In our Magazine section we also interview the acclaimed Japanese dancer and choreographer Kaori Ito about her collaboration with Aurélien Bory. Their work Plexus has its UK premiere in 2015 at Sadler's Wells as part of the London International Mime Festival.

As we enter the serious party season we invited Suzette Field, author of A Curious Invitation - The Forty Greatest Parties in Literature to offer up her tips on recreating some of these smashing 'dos'! Expect ideas for The Eighties Party, The Crying Party, The Debating Party, The Garden Party, and the S&M Party - all with a sophisticated and at times frothy literature twist! Enjoy! We needn't say so - but her book does make rather a jolly prize for your hedonistic lovers.

Competitions and offers? You betcha!
