It's time for the glamorous, star-studded Live Art Gala! [note: just a few tickets left - grab them while you can].

It's true, some of our readers live in the dark ages. Ring any bells? If so, attend the Live Art Gala for a rude awakening (in a good way) - it'll thrust you right up to what's exciting in the contemporary arts world. 'But, but, what is Live Art?' I hear you whining. Just go (tickets, here)!

Seriously, the Live Art Gala is to celebrate 20 years of the Live Art Development Agency. Our Guest Editor this week is the co-founder and Director, Lois Keidan. Lois has been described by the writer Lyn Gardner as 'one of the arts world’s greatest enablers. Keidan and LADA deserve a medal.'

True to form, here Lois chats to artist Nando Messias about Live Art, LADA and Nando’s forthcoming performance The Pink Supper ahead of the Gala (26 October).

In our Magazine section National Slam Champion Adam Kammerling has crafted a theatre show fusing fast paced spoken word with dance, Shall We Take This Outside. It's a production which unpacks the thrill and horror of violence. A brutal reflection of the more dysfunctional aspects of contemporary society, entertainment and culture. Roll up your sleeve's and read Adam's article for Run-Riot, here.

Here's to wishing you a celebratory week dear Players! Bottoms up! RR xx
