The art collector

Soho, London 2018. Georgian architecture. A missing man: a collector of art, books and ceramics. His living room. Eviction.

The missing link? Our Guest Editor this week is ceramic artist William Martin, whose latest work, 'Liam' exhibits at The Smallest Gallery in Soho. Expect an intimate, voyeuristic experience conveniently on show 24/7 at 62 Dean Street where you'll find the mystery of this installation teased out.

We caught up with William to discuss matters of sexual and geographic identity, fragile masculinity, and objects of desire around his work. Read his interview with Eli Goldstone.

"Be realistic: demand the impossible!" May '68 slogan. No, not the PM, but the social and political stirrings of Paris 1968. In our magazine section, we hear from BFI programmer David Edgar who announces their new season: Uprising: The Spirit of '68.

Meanwhile, Art Wars and Hix Art invite you to celebrate National Star Wars Day, May 4th (be with you). Dress code: Original Cantina Scene - A New Hope (1977). RSVP.

Lastly, next week as part of London Craft Week, Loewe Foundation present the Loewe Craft Prize 2018 Exhibition at the Design Museum, from 4 May – 17 June 2018.
