All's Fair in Love and Poetry

Transporting us from the page to the stage this week is Guest Editor Tom Chivers, writer and director of live literature producers and independent publishers Penned in the Margins. Their current project Fair Field brings live action medieval poetry to Shoreditch Town Hall. We chatted to him about the weird, wild ambulatory work - you can read all about it here. He also picks us an eclectic mix of cultural happenings, from an immersive Deptford Faery Den to the sensory wonders of the Perfume exhibition at Somerset House.

In the magazine we've got a fascinating guest blog from Eckhard Thiemann, Artistic Director of Shubbak, a contemporary Arab culture festival taking place in London in July. We've also got music from Perfume Genius and highlights from Glastonbury for those that prefer their music from the comfort of their armchair/bed/fainting couch.

For more culture gems and competitions - browse our Offers page. As for the best of the rest - rummage through our genre-bending pages where you'll find plenty of haut happenings.

Here's to wishing you a fair and fine week dear Players! RR xx
