The rebirth of the salacious Smash and Grab in East London's newest party paradise, XOYO. Be prepared for the X and Y chromosomes in residence to do their worst.

London's favourite Thursday night mash-up is reincarnated at XOYO on 16 September and is very much stripping back to basics (pun intended). Smash and Grab, having gained glorious notoriety and column inches to lure in sleb hunters and tourists alike at Punk, Soho and Proud, Camden, is embracing its roots in an intimate Old Street venue which will capture the charm of S&G before the secret was out.

The recipe, as ever, is simple. XOYO will now be home to a raw, rough and more than ready gaggle of 300 odd Londoners every Thursday night bound by just one thing - the wish to have a rollicking good time. And share that with someone... S&G has always been a snogfest of the highest order! Turn up on launch night and try your luck…

The soundtrack remains love songs to get you in the mood orchestrated by the Queens Of Noize and a trouple of fellow female DJs including Don’t Run With Scissors, Girls In The Pub, BarMisfits, Just Another DJ and, on the 16th, some Very Special Guests... The S&G Dress Up Box is also back with a vengeance together with the Polaroid Pulling Wall or The Board of Love (think mug-shot Cupidian carnage), and, at The Grand Relaunch life-drawing maestro Rart and the sensational Scottee are performing too.
