Midnight A Go-Go returns to The Waiting Room (formerly The Drop) to host a party that celebrates everything that made the kids of 80s MTV generation rule!

Its resident DJs play the best 80s new wave, yacht rock, synth pop and classic hip hop as well as new tracks that are inspired by the decade. The result is a journey that can take you from Metronomy to Duran Duran or M83 to Grandmaster Flash. Throughout the night visuals of cult film and TV clips and music videos are screened. Midnight A Go-Go is the ultimate 80s dance party that recreates the soundtrack your youth on the dance floor.

This month Midnight A Go-Go has the pleasure of welcoming one of the freshest acts of 2012, Alpines, to play live at The Waiting Rooms. CIted by the Guardian as one ice maiden with a powerful voice and one musician with an impressive keyboards arsenal, Alpines mix the ethereal quality of the Cocteau Twins with trip-hop inspired baselines. Support comes from Sylver Tongue, the new guise of Charlotte Hatherley, who mixes 70s sci-fi movies, psychedelic pop and the prowling grooves of Grace Jones.
