Slip on your sequined gown or sharp suit, grab a glass of champagne and enjoy live music, burlesque, an in-house casino and dancing until dawn.
Step through the doors of your imagination into an illicit night of fun hosted by Baron Von Sanderson. Join us at our 2nd instalment of The Velvet Lounge, expect irreverent, decadent, sexually ambivalent & dissolute fun mixed from a more eclectic palette. Inspired by infamous 1950’s and 1960’s private members clubs The Claremont and The Cromwellian, The Velvet Lounge features the usual internationally famous burlesque performers, our amazing house band- “Nancy and the Key Tones”, an in-house Casino, DJ’s spinning original and rare exotica and the best and most beautifully adorned party crowd in town.
The 1950’s and 1960’s can be seen as cousins of the 1920’s and 1930’s: Another war, another lost generation dead set on making their own mark and parting while they do it. The Velvet Lounge has been created with the glitzier end of these decades in mind. Think casino chic, underground clubs where royalty and stars are ushered in from cold winter nights to experience the new and bold scene of Bohemian London. Couture sequin gowns and Savile Row suits rub shoulders with the wild offspring of the Bright Young Things.
