Play around the celestial pole of the axis mundi & lose yourself at midnight to the sacrificial dance of the earth at the Great May Masquerade, in celebration of The Mother Goddess & her Horned God.

On the one hundred and first anniversary of the scandalous Parisian premiere of 'Le Sacre de Printemps', Suzette Field offers a Curious Invitation to The Rite of Spring, The Great May Masquerade. A Concupiscent celebration, a fecund frolic and a dance to the death.

In the Ballroom:

Troylus Searll will welcome you to the Ballroom with The Earth's Kiss: a fantasia which takes inspiration from, and the odd liberty with Stravinsky's seminal ballet score.

The London Gay Symphony Orchestra presents The Dance of the Earth, a terpsichoreal trip through the ages, taking in the classical, the romantic and the decadent.

The Great Malarkey will initiate you into the mystery of The Secret Games of the Girls: a seductive brew of death waltz, urban skunk and gypsy punk.

Attack Attack Attack will lead you to the climax of the evening, The Great Sacrificial Dance, though… Due to health and safety requirements, dancing yourself to death is discouraged.

Cabaret Stage:

Rubyyy Jones is a force of nature: an all singing, all dancing, all stripping, comedic-shock diva.

Miss Cairo is 'Norfolk's only super model'. She is the sauciest lamb out there!

Lolo Brow is a Neo-Burlesque artist, sideshow performer, sparkly drag King and Lizard Lady.

Ungewinster is the ringmaster of modern mime, bringing you his Carrollian caterpillar and Maddening Hatter.

Moorita is London's Tsarina of provocative cabaret, guaranteed to astound audiences into submission.

Kasaï Masaï is  the Congolese combos who will have you shaking to the soukous, the dance that took the packet-boat from Africa to Cuba and back.

The Roustabouts are a theatrical DJ duo who share a penchant for the decadent and diasporic, spinning sounds from bygone eras and exotic lands.

The Fertility Feast: Gorge yourself upon the bountiful Barque Buffet of epicurean aphrodisiacs, sensually served by gilded and masked mischievants.

The Death Rites: Capture an immortal moment from time immemorial in the life drawing room, as Art Macabre and their cast of maidens and sage-elders recreate a pagan sacrificial ritual for the delectation of your eye and pen.

Virgins' Penance: Le Captain Crop and Mistress Ivy entice you down to their Dungeon of Despair and Delights where you can purge you passion, atone you ardour and shrive your sensuality under their iron discipline.

Wreck of the Hesperus: Dance amid the foundered hulk of the SS Hesperus, courtesy of immersive theatre company Son and Sons, where the corpse of the Captain's virginal daughter hangs still lashed to the mast, the salt sea frozen on her breast, the salt tears in her eyes.

Blossom Viewing Party: Celebrate the coming of Spring in medical Japan, venerated in the traditional observance of the appearance of the cherry blossom; accompanied by the ritual of Ahibari, the ancient art of rope binding.

The Hots Springs: Shed your clothes and subject your body and soul to ritual purification and ablution in our Hot Tubs, frothing with primordial potency, while you imbibe our classic  movies of adoration, obsession and sacrifice.
