Latitude Festival 2013

We're always searching for line-ups that convince us it's worth leaving London for more than one night- and Latitude are one of the festivals who've pulled it out of the bag this year. We're big fans of little festivals, but when something the size of Latitude offers quite so much quality AS WELL as quantity, we may well bother joining the crowds.

Musical highlights for us from this year's line-up have to be big names like Kraftwerk-obviously- and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, plus so many great new names on the BBC6 Music introducing stage- we're huge fans of Daughter, Beach House, Iamamiwhoami and Laura Mvula. Other great bands appearing include Purity Ring, Rachel Zeffira, Serafina Steer, Stealing Sheep, Veronica Falls and Wave Machines.

On the comedy stage there's the brilliant talents of Dylan Moran, Tim Key, Katherine Ryan, Sara Pascoe and Bryony Kimmings,(read our interview with Bryony here) whilst theatrical spectacles can be expected from Sadlers Wells, BAC, Made in China, NYT and Dance East.

The ICA will be bringing their Bowiefest along with films celebrating the music legend himself, whilst in the art department you can catch Tim Walker and David Shrigley.

Spoken words-wise, we have Carol Ann Duffy, Apples and Snakes, Ross Sutherland and more, whilst the written word is represented by Robin Ince's Dirty Book Club, Salon London, Festival of the Spoken Nerd and The Last Tuesday Society.

Cabaret acts include many of our good friends, including Carnesky's Tarot Drome(read our interview with them here) and ArtWank!

So if you fancy a year's worth of cutting edge music, arts and culture in one heady weekend,18th-21st July, this might be your best bet. Tickets here.
