The Fanny Song by Bryony Kimmings and Friends

In 2009 the performance artist Bryony Kimmings re-imagined the wonderful Bob Dylan Song "Subterranean Homesick Blues" to make it into an ode to the humble vagina. The idea was to perform the song with the trademark Dylan music video cards sketch at club nights, theatres, and cabaret spots across the UK. The backing song is a rework of a karaoke version.

In 2010 the song (to reclaim the beautiful vag from those who wish to insult it, use it or indeed abuse it) made it into her award winning show Sex Idiot [read her Interview with Run-Riot here about Sex Idiot, from March 2011]. This song is by far the most popular sketch/act that Bryony gets asked to do across the world. So - she decided to team up with her friend and director Umut Gunduz to make a music video for it, to share it with those who can't make her nights or fanny ramblings (US audiences Fanny in the UK, as you well know means the front bum not the back butt!)

Filmed at Fava Rental studios down the Roman Road in Bethnal Green and with the help of some wonderful femmes selected by open and honest call out Bryony has made a neat little video. Have a little looksie and share it with your mates if you like it.

The song will be available on iTunes soon!
Tom Parkinson produced the tune, props to him.
