Part fiction, part biopic, Tatsumi pays tribute to the legendary manga artist Yoshihiro Tatsumi, best known for his seminal autobiography A Drifting Life. The film charts his invention of 'gekiga', the graphic-novel form detailing the everyday lives of people in post war Japan, work that is both unflinching and poetic. A must for anyone interested in manga, anime, and Japanese culture, the fluid animation remains faithful to his much-loved drawing style. It's out on 13 January so keep your eyes peeled!
