Save the Naked Scientists Podcasts

It's been a week of nasty axing announcements at the BBC- people everywhere are baffled over the Danny Baker decision, but we were distraught to see that he was not alone.

Kat Arney is a harpist for two fantastic bands (Sunday Driver and Talk in Colour) whose events and podcasts we've listed a number of times; but she also co-hosts Naked Scientists, an award winning BBC weekly radio programme. The Naked Scientists are a media-savvy group of physicians and researchers from Cambridge University who use radio, live lectures, and the Internet to strip science down to its bare essentials, and promote it to the general public. This week they found out it's to be replaced by a generic music programme. If you'd rather continue to learn about Why ugly animals need love too, what shape web spiders would spin in space and other priceless nuggets of knowledge, then write to the BBC and let them know by emailing either trust.enquiries@bbc.co.uk or feedback@bbc.co.uk.
