HOME VIDEO’S WANTED FOR TV PITCH: VIDEO STAR WARS

McLaren Entertainment are currently creating a TV pitch for a programme which celebrates all that is ace about home video making, in all its DIY, no-budget glory – pure charm, 100% creative genius, the true nuts and bolts of light entertainment! And – it’s a knock-out contest.

VIDEO STAR WARS

A chance for you, your friends or family to PRODUCE and STAR in your very own show!

We are hoping to do a TV series where we show home video DRAMAS produced by our viewers.

It’s very simple.

To start off we want to see how imaginative you can be in creating this short sketch.

We give you the TITLE:

“ONE DAY TO LIVE”

We want 60 seconds and the THEME is STAR WARS or RESERVOIR DOGS or THE SOUND OF MUSIC.

And you decide the PLOT.


CRITERIA

You – need to have done at least two of the following: conceived the idea, written the script (if applicable), starred in it (voice over or in person), produced it (pulled together the resources and people to make it possible), filmed it, edited it (if applicable), provided the sound (if applicable).

The set, cast & crew – your call! But remember – your film must be a no-budget flick.

Duration – no longer than 60sec.

Your audience – we’d like this to be a prime time family show that gains cult status! No swearing, no explicit sexuality. You know the score – no rude stuff.

Age limit – there is none.

The Format - DVD. Please send your DVD with a SAE. Contact us for the address.

THE PROGRAMME

Initially this is for a pitch. If successful, the programme will be made into a series where the contest will be open up to people across the UK.

People will submit their Home Videos. The best will be selected by a panel of professionals from the TV and entertainment industry and then broadcast as part of the series.

An over all winner will be selected and awarded with a significant prize.

WHAT HAPPENS TO MY FILM NOW

For the pitch, we’re after about 20 Home Videos.

We’ll automatically submit your film to the contest – placing you among the contenders from across the nation who share the ultimate goal – to win the VIDEO STAR WARS AWARD! Best of luck to you!
