The People's Moon

The People’s Moon is a creative project to mark the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing in a unique way. We’re producing giant Photo Mosaics, Moon and Mars Maps, Historical Footage of the Apollo 11 landing to the day and moment it happened July 20 at outdoor iconic global locations, giving everyday people a chance to be a part of it and walk on the Moon. Augmented reality and 3D selfie installations will also appear at People’s Moon events and activations until 2024.

On July 20, 1969, astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin became the first humans ever to land on the moon. As Armstrong took his first step, he famously said:

“That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.”

Now it’s your turn! Help us to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 and the historic first moon landing. Your first step is to send us your photos and messages, and we’ll leap into action to feature you in one of our lunar mosaics. Come and find yourself, your friends and loved ones in the unique installations we’ll be creating.

The Apollo Program was accomplished by the efforts of more than four hundred thousand people who achieved an impossible dream.
