Job Opportunity: Executive Administrator, London Contemporary Orchestra

JOB TITLE: Executive Administrator 

TERMS: Part-time - four hours per day, five days per week 

CONTRACT: Freelance, beginning October 2015, initially a fixed-term 1-year contract with a 3-month reviewe

REMUNERATION: £15,600 (£31,200 pro rata)

Coming at an exciting and pivotal time for the LCO, the Executive Administrator will fulfil an essential role at the heart of the organisation, helping it to develop from a ‘two-man band’ to a fully-fledged company. The Executive Administrator will work remotely on a day-to-day basis and attend meetings with the Artistic Directors in central London. He or she will also have contact with the Concert Manager (freelance) and Chairman. 

PERSON SPECIFICATION 

• Some years’ experience in an administrative role 

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal 

• Highly organised, self-motivated, and able to work well independently Page 3 of 3 

• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work across a range of different projects and areas simultaneously, prioritising multiple tasks, and working calmly under pressure and to tight deadlines 

• Good numeracy, literacy, organisational and computer skills – including a strong understanding of, and experience of using, social media channels 

• Excellent attention to detail 

• Ambitious, and eager to grow a business Desirable 

• A demonstrable interest in the arts, preferably including orchestral and contemporary music 

• Previous experience of arts management/administration, or developing and delivering creative projects and ideas 

• Marketing expertise 

• Strong research and analytical skills
