Job Opportunity: Content Producer (Ballet), Royal Opera House

£25,500 per annum (permanent contract)

As part of Royal Opera House Media, the Publishing and Interpretation team produces a range of publications, including marketing literature, the performance programmes, cast books and other printed and digital materials to support the activities of the Royal Opera House.

The Royal Opera House is currently looking for an experienced Content Producer to join this busy team, with specific responsibility for publications associated with the work of The Royal Ballet. The role reports to the Head of Publishing and Interpretation and focuses on the planning, preparation and coordination of the programmes, castbooks and related materials for the performances of The Royal Ballet. Drawing on your publishing, editorial and administration skills and experience you will manage the development and timely release of these printed and digital materials to meet the needs of the Royal Opera House schedule and the needs and expectations of The Royal Ballet.

The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and experienced team player with these qualities:

  • Sufficient publishing and editorial experience across print and digital materials

  • A good knowledge of the repertory of The Royal Ballet

  • Highly literate, with accurate copy editing and proofreading

  • Highly proficient MS Office user, and a high standard in desktop-publishing and design software (Adobe InDesign and Photoshop)

  • The capacity to manage a busy workload with high productivity and ability to work to multiple deadlines

  • Consistent high level of customer care and responsiveness
