This is a full-time post, salary dependent on experience.

This is an opportunity to join the Communications Team of the international contemporary art gallery White Cube, with galleries in London, Hong Kong and São Paulo. As Communications Manager, you will oversee the implementation of press and communication strategy for all of the gallery’s activities in a creative, energetic and fast turnaround environment. 

Required experience includes managing press campaigns in a senior role and an in-depth knowledge of and contacts in the international contemporary art world.  The successful candidate will be highly self-motivated, able to work on a number of projects simultaneously and have experience that will enable them to both maintain and develop the international profile of this already highly visible organisation.

Responsibilities

• - Research and prepare press releases and newsletters

• - Liaise with external Press Agencies

• - Draft and implement media strategies for designated campaigns

• - Organise and manage media events

• - Prioritise and deal promptly with media queries

• - Liaise with other departments and artists' studios regarding general press queries

• - Oversee production of marketing collateral

• - Oversee strategy for White Cube’s social media channels and help to provide content

• - Manage and build press contacts

• - Line manager for Communications Assistant

• - Extensive knowledge and experience of the international contemporary art world

• - Experience and working knowledge of media campaign management in an art related business

• - Excellent research and analytical skills

• - Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

• - Able to work flexibly within a team environment

• - An experienced and effective communicator

• - Experienced in using social media, websites, and news monitoring systems

• - Sharp attention to detail and proof reading skills

• - Art related degree preferred
