Job: Hauser & Wirth: Digital Communications Manager

Based in the London gallery and reporting to the Director of Communications, they require a capable and creative digital professional to join the global communications team, working in a highly successful and prestigious world-class organisation.

The role is full-time and is being offered on a six month contract starting mid-August, with the opportunity to become permanent.

The role will include, but not be limited to, the following responsibilities:

Website:
Maintain gallery websites and mobile platform.
Update content across gallery websites and mobile platform
Oversee website development in conjunction with Director of Communications
Develop and implement digital communications campaigns in conjunction with Director of CommunicationsManage SEO and monitor analytics
Maintain relationship with external web development and web design team in collaboration with IT department and Director of CommunicationsUpdate internal and online calendarsUpdate external art fair websites and listings

Social media:
Manage Hauser & Wirth social media channels
Deliver social media campaigns to support all gallery activity, including: artists, exhibitions, art fairs, special projects, HW Publishers and HW Editions
Contribute towards gallery’s audience development initiatives
Proactively engage with digital audience across priority channels to instigate and lead conversation on contemporary art
Plan, resource, execute and measure effectiveness of digital activities, working with analytics tools
Engage colleagues with gallery’s social media activities

E-communications:
Manage e-communications schedule in conjunction with Director of Communications
Design and send artist / art fair announcements, exhibition invitations, digital promotional booklets and ad hoc email communications via online email marketing tool in conjunction with Director of Communications

Digital archive (film / photography):
Manage documentation, editing and archiving of global talks and eventsWork with external film crew to manage filming of London-based events
Manage installation photography for London-based internal exhibitions
Photograph artwork, exhibitions, art fairs and showrooms for internal use
Edit video and sound for artworks, internal and occasional external events
Manage and develop the gallery’s physical and digital film archive

The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

Essential:
A minimum of 3 years in an equivalent role
Dynamic and creative approach
Proven understanding and vision of brand voice, especially in social media
Excellent written communication, analytical, organisational and interpersonal skills Excellent IT skills, including a good working knowledge of Adobe packages (InDesign, Photoshop and Final Cut)
Strong filming and photography skillsGood working knowledge of Mac OSX, HTML and CMS systems
Awareness of recent developments in website technology, mobile applications and social media

Desirable:
Experience in a commercial gallery, museum or visual arts organisationGood understanding of web and social media metrics, analytics and benchmarks
