Job: Associate Producer, Barbican Centre

Deadline: 1st August 2016
Full-time, 18 month fixed term position, £25k-30k

Apply direct online at http://www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/jobs

The Barbican is Europe's largest multi-arts and conference venue presenting a diverse range of art, music, theatre, dance, film and creative learning events.

This new and broad-ranging role, reporting to the Senior Producer and working closely with staff across the entirety of the organisation, is central to the delivery of ambitious, inter-disciplinary and cross-organisational projects at the Barbican.

You are someone who has experience of successfully producing complex projects in the cultural sector, as well as being able to demonstrate a passion for the arts. You possess outstanding interpersonal skills, and are adept at building relationships with, and influencing, people across a large organisation.

Your work will nearly always be project-based, often on inter-disciplinary arts and learning projects but also including projects concerned with innovative approaches to income generation, audience development, or organisational working.

This post also has a specific responsibility for supporting - and in some instances managing - the commissioning, production, and creation of digital arts and content projects. These will range from online work to exhibitions and installations in our physical spaces.

This is a new post, in a relatively new unit, and the successful candidate will need to be comfortable with constantly shaping and adapting their role in response to the needs of diverse projects.

Closing date for applications is midday, Monday 1 August 2016.

All applications must include a completed application form.

Late applications will not be accepted.

Alternatively, please contact 020 7332 3978 (24hr answerphone) quoting reference number BC579. A minicom service for the hearing impaired is available on 020 7332 3732.
