Bishi sells space in her video – rather than the record!

After her South Bank nomination as Breakthrough Artist of the year Bishi is fast becoming recognised as one of the most interesting artists in Britain today.

She is currently working on an interactive art project for her next video. 'On my own again’

To raise money for the production, fans can purchase (via the website) space on screen, adding their name to the video as a graphic. She will then interact with the names as they flash, stream and strobe, creating the environment in which she performs.

This is the 1st time any recording Artist has sold visual space in such a way.

Participants are then 1st to receive downloads of the final mix, exclusive remixes and copies of the video - free before release.

‘I am interested by downloads – as you are not buying a ‘real’ product it occurred to me that I could extend the envelope and give the recording as part of a more interesting package’

‘The project is about loneliness in a crowd – city life, school life, family life- but also web life. Social networking keeps us busy – a community of know but don't know. Surrounded by text - names, messages, emails. Does this lead to a richer experience or are each of us becoming more isolated?’
