Run Riot talk to comedy Duo the Pajama Men

Welcome back to London!

Thank you very much! We love it here.

We heard that you are coming to Soho in your 'street clothes' - pajama free! Have you done this much before? What informed this decision? And how will it make you feel different on stage?
Yes! We have done it many times in the past (performed improv without pajamas). We do it to differentiate between our written shows and improv. Pajamas, strangely, feel very "formal" in comparison to what we wear everyday. Also, we can blend in with the crowd better if we need to make a quick escape.

We are looking forward to entirely improvised set at Soho! Is that nerve racking at all? I imagine you will need to be very in tune with each other on stage...
Yes. We must be like a shoal. -S

Exciting to hear that you have  a guest comic each night... any clues as to who might be joining you?
We have been left a few clues: some eyeliner, a Mexican wrestling mask, a very thick pair of glasses....I don't really know what to make of it.

You have performed far and wide - I believe you have just got back from Sweden? Do you find audiences' reactions differ much from place to place?
Timing is a little different place to place. Sweden is great because they clap in unison. They do it more than once and everything--be kind of jarring if, at the end, they all just clapped together once and that was it. -S

Critics love you! Do you still/ever get nervous if you know you have a 'big' reviewer in?
Yes. For sure. Especially when we open a new show. But I don't know if nervous is the right word. Maybe "dread" or "why do we do this to ourselves".

You are from Albuquerque New Mexico: Are you fans of hit TV show Breaking Bad? I must confess that geeky IMDb'ing revealed that you appeared in an episode as 'Schlubby Guy #1' Shenoah! Might you appear in the show again? Can we expect to see any BB references is forthcoming PJ sketches?
My performance as Schlub #1 totally made BB what it is, but I don't want to be pigeon holed you know, so I wanna try different stuff, like maybe I could get a part as Schlub #2. - s

What next for the Pajama men? Plans in the pipeline?
After our run at the Soho here in London, we're off to Oslo, Norway to do a few shows. Then writing, a run in Washington DC, more writing, then bam! We open a new show and take over the world!

Enjoy your Soho run and thanks a million for answering our questions!
thanks!!
