Run-Riot: What makes a good party?

Artful Badger: Without doubt it's the people, or in our case animals! We love ALL our open-hearted feral friends, they want to meet each each other and share experiences.... if that's not what you're after you might as well be sat in the cinema!

RR:What makes a good badger?

AB:No holds barred, playful, silly, sexy, mischievous fun!

RR:If the artful badger and band of badgers came across a time machine and could go to any party in history, whose bash would they rock up at?

AB: Good question! Maybe the opening night at Stone Henge for drinks, dinner with Bacchus and his Nymphs, followed by The Venetian Masked Carnival for dancing!

RR: Now Secret Garden Party's no longer such a secret, can you share with us any tips on the next great underground gathering on the horizon?

AB: Shhhh it's a secret! Can we pick two? We love Cock and Bull festival, it supports a charity close to our hearts, Jamie's Farm (www.jamiesfarm.org.uk), which takes kids out of the inner city to work on a farm. Its so well produced with an amazing vibe and great music, we honestly cant recommend it enough. Also we hear a rumour the incredible destructive geniuses at 'scrap club' (http://www.scrapclub.co.uk/) are planning a special three day event at the Old Vic Tunnels this year, if you haven't been to one of their events then catch it when you can.

RR: The Artful Badger is holding a diamond heist- if you were to attempt to steal one real life treasure, what would it be?

AB: Do 'national treasures' count? If so we'd steal Joanna Lumely, we could keep her in our woods!

RR:Fur, feathers or fins-which creatures make the best party animals?

AB: All of them! The more elaborate the better! We don't mind the species. We just want to see your courting dance!

RR: Any tips on how to be the foxiest bird at the party? And the most dapper badger?

AB: Have no shame in dressing up to the nines, but be ready to laugh at yourself.

RR: We hear Artful Badger has been working with a certain vintage milk float, could you tell us a little about the Milk Float itself?

AB: Of course! It's a 1974 Morrison D6, weighs four metric tonnes, and has a top speed of a blistering 15mph! We've done raves with kids, planted orange trees, and use it every time we need a pimped up badger-mobile.... if anyone wants to know more they can visit www.theoldmilkfloat.co.uk!

RR: You've written a great piece on there on the top 9 creative event trends (including a mention of our very own 'Think' section) - are there any new movements you've seen emerging yet in 2012?

AB: I see a lovely trend for what I'm calling good clean fun; loads of organised bike rides and events outdoors, with just a £30 rubber dingy you can float down the canal to broadway market and have a brilliant day out!

RR: Do you think London is an especially good breeding ground for creative events? Why do you think this is?

AB: Most definitely! There are so many wild events that everyone evolves creatively really quickly, just like plants in the jungle come up with ever more inventive ways to reproduce, and this creates a unique atmosphere we are so lucky to have. Also, I think it's the mix of choice we have, on any given day I can visit ten art shows, five gigs, three talks or a boxing match, and it's this mix of different disciplines which creates the best show.

RR: What tips would you give anyone wanting to start running their own event?

AB: It's all about the experience so put yourself in the shoes of your guests. When people come to our gigs they don't just watch the badger they BECOME the badgers, and this is what makes us keep doing what we do! Thank you so much!
