Interview: Scottee and the Eat Your Heart Out collective talk about their show 'Violence' coming to the RVT

Scottee caught up with the Eat Your Heart Out collective ahead of their new show Violence at The RVT. Over a cup of tea and biscuits he found out how violent the performers he shares a dressing room really are.

RR: What's the most violent thing you've ever done?
Miss Annabel: Tried to kill myself (start with a corker), I was 29 and I was a wreck and spent an afternoon deciding the best method but now I've realized the most effective is not to bother - thinking those thoughts are more violent than the action.
Masumi: Strangled my younger sister with the cat flap when she put her face out of it.
Scottee: When I was 12, I had a fight with my neighbor Allen - I threw a rock at his head - he repaid the gesture with a punch to my lip and I gained my first fat split lip.
Nando Messias: Thrown the contents of my glass in someone's face!
Spencer Wood: I beat someone up that really wasn't in a position to put up a decent fight.
Scottee: Spencer - thats a bit dark!

RR: Who would get your celebrity bullet and why? Oh hell, let's cut to the chase - more to the point - which celebrity would you kill?
Spencer: Richard Madeley from Richard & Judy. I hate that man.
Miss Annabel: Close call between Sian Lloyd and Eamonn Holmes but i think Sian would tip it with her annoying hands when presenting the weather.
Nando: Lady Gaga.
Masumi: Any Japanese Pop Idol . they get my nerves!!

RR: When was the last time you drew blood?
Masumi:
I was 18 and I was bitten by my dog in the mouth, back of my head and my nose (in fact he bite off bit of my lip aparently)
Miss Annabel: When I was 12 I got my thumb caught in my Mums car door and flattened it. Blood poured out, we looked at it for 10mins and then the pain kicked in.
Scottee: Thats horrid Annabel! - When I was performing at the Roundhouse last year I slipped off the stage and into a crash barrier, this beautiful fall gained me a broken wrist and 9 stitches to the head. The highlight was being covered in blood, in drag in A&E.

RR: If you were a cereal killer what would you name be and what would be your specialized subject?
Scottee:
I would de feminize my victims, cutting out/off their uterus, mammaries and childbearing hips and sew them on to outfits. My name would be know as The Slit Slicer
Masumi: I really cant think of any ... i'm too nice to come up with an idea.

RR: Religion or Gun Crime - which is more violent?
Miss Annabel:
Religon
Spencer: Religion
Scottee: Religon
Nando: Gun Crime

RR: What makes you violent?
Nando:
Ignorance.
Miss Annabel: Me too! ignorance and people who say 'crips' instead of crisps.
Scottee: injustice and too much coffee
Spencer: Alcohol and the way i was brought up. People that think they better than you.
Masumi: People - in general.

Violence opens at the RVT on 1st, 2nd and 3rd December. £5/£8.
